  • Kevin Broadus needs his head examined.

    Immediately.

With his program in the midst of a national scandal after one player, Emanuel “Tiki” Mayben, was caught distributing crack cocaine and five other players were dismissed from the program, the Binghamton coach  has gone and gotten himself in trouble.

    Again.

Jeff Goodman of Foxsports.com appears to have caught Broadus red-handed speaking with two recruits from Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass., a day after the contact period ended.

Notre Dame players Michael Glenn and Antoine Myers told Goodman that Broadus spoke to both of them at the school on Tuesday, the first day of the evaluation period.

The longer Kyrie Irving goes without committing to Duke, the better it is for the other four schools in the Irving Sweepstakes.

The 6-foot-2 Irving out of Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick still hasn’t committed to the Dukies and will head out today on his second official visit to Texas A&M.

“Getting ready for my visit at Texas a and m tmrw…let’s do it!!” Irving Tweeted this week.

The A&M connection stems from assistant coach Scott Spinelli, who played college ball at Boston U with Drederick Irving, Kyrie’s father.

After A&M, Irving is slated to visit Kentucky next weekend for Big Blue Madness, before going to Georgia Tech and Seton Hall.

The Tobias Harris World Tour continues this weekend when Tobias and his family make their second official visit to Tennessee.

“Tennessee this weekend, baby,” Torrel Harris said. “We’re going to check them out, see how Tobias gets along with the players.”

The 6-foot-8 Harris, the No. 5 prospect in the Class of 2010 out of Dix Hills (N.Y.) Half Hollow Hills West, visited Syracuse two weeks ago for his first official and will hit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness Oct. 16.

After that will come visits to Louisville, West Virginia, Georgia Tech and Maryland.

    Rod Odom is headed West.

“I am an Arizona Wildcat,” the 6-foot-8, 210-pound Odom, a senior from Long Island who plays at Concord (Mass.) Middlesex, said by text.

Reach by phone a little after 6 p.m., Odom said he made the decision “about 10 minutes ago.”

Odom chose Arizona over Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Boston College. He is ranked No. 88 overall in the Class of 2010 and No. 19 among small forwards.

“I was real close to going to Vanderbilt last night but I’ve been talking it over with my mom and my dad and we made that decision,” Odom said.
