Seton Hall adds 4-star point guard Javion Tyndale: ‘Heart over height’

Seton Hall coach Shaheen Holloway has added his first high school recruit in the Class of 2027.

Javion Tyndale, the 5-foot-9, 4-star point guard from heralded Montverde (FL) Academy, chose The Hall over St. Bonaventure after previously listing UNLV, Providence, West Virginia and Loyola Chicago. He is rated the No. 13 point guard in the Class of 2027 by 247Sports.com.

“I’m going to Seton Hall and I chose them because I relate to Coach Shaheen,” Tyndale, a native of Mississauga, Ontario, told NJ.com ahead of his public announcement. “Him being one of the best small guards to ever play the game, I would learn a lot.

“The program’s history is incredible. It felt like i was at home. I’m going to be bringing toughness to the team. I’ll be willing to do whatever it takes to win.”
