Class of 2027 4-star Spire Academy (OH) and PSA Cardinals point guard Micah Gordon is focusing on three schools and will make his college announcement on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Plainfield (NJ) High School.
ZAGSBLOG reported Wednesday that the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Gordon had canceled several visits and was focusing on West Virginia, VCU and Creighton, per sources.
Gordon announced Thursday via 247Sports that he will announce in his hometown on Saturday.
Gordon has cancelled planned visits to Auburn (Sept. 18), UCLA (Oct. 9) and Providence (Oct. 16). He previously canceled a planned visit to UConn.
He has already visited VCU, Tennessee and Creighton and is slated to visit West Virginia (Sept. 22-24) and also took an unofficial to Providence. The West Virginia date may change due to a conflict with school at Spire.
The New Jersey native transferred to Spire from Plainfield (NJ) High School to play for legendary coach Kevin Boyle this season
