The top prospect of the Class of 2028 will head to college a year early.

No. 1 Class of 2028 prospect AJ Williams will reclassify to the Class of 2027, according to ESPN’s Paul Biancardi

Breaking: AJ Williams, the No. 1 player in the Class of 2028, is reclassifying to the Class of 2027, he tells ESPN’s @PaulBiancardi.

Williams moves to No. 7 overall in the 2027 SC Next 100.

Williams will be the No. 7 prospect in the Class of 2027 as the 6-foot-7 wing fields offers from top programs such as Kansas, Duke and North Carolina.

Yann Kamagate is expected to take over as the new No. 1 player in the Class of 2028 as players continue to make moves to maximize their development.
