SOMERSET, N.J.London Jemison put on an impressive performance at the Metro Classic last Friday at Franklin High School, and continues to be pursued by a slew of high-major schools.

The 6-foot-8, 195-pound small forward went for 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in a win over Blair Academy.

Jemison is being courted by Syracuse, Xavier, Providence, Virginia, Ohio State, Georgetown, Notre Dame and Tennessee, among others. He has taken an official visit to Syracuse and an unofficial to Providence.

He broke down some of his top options for ZAGSBLOG.

PROVIDENCE: “It was a good visit. Kim English, it’s his first year there, he’s a genuine guy, my family likes him. I just like the way they play, they play fast. I just like his mentality, he’s just all about being positive and just being ready to play.”

SYRACUSE: “I had an official visit there, so I saw a little bit more. I got to see a game, the environment was pretty good. They didn’t have students on campus at the time. I like the way they play, they play fast. Coach Red [Autry] lets them play free. You obviously have to play defense. And academically, all the schools are pretty good.”

GEORGETOWN: “Georgetown, they’ve been in the mix a little bit more. They came to a practice and two of my games.”

VIRGINIA: “I haven’t taken a visit there but they’ve been recruiting me probably one of the longest out of all the schools.”

TENNESSEE: “I was on the phone with them [Thursday] night, one of the assistants. I know got a big game with Kentucky so I’m going to tune into that.”

XAVIER: “They like my versatility like a lot of the schools.”

NOTRE DAME: “They’ve been heavily recruiting me lately. Coach [Mike] Farrelly and coach [Micah] Shrewsberry, they’re good guys. They send me quotes

Jemison said he has no timetable on a decision.

    “I’m still open,” he said.

Wherever he goes, he plans to bring his versatility.

“I feel like I can guard 1 through 4 pretty well,” he said. “I feel like I’m a pretty under-rated passer. I can get to the rim pretty much any time I want.”
