Chamberlain Burgess, the No. 127 overall player in the 2025 class, has committed to BYU, he announced via Instagram.

Burgess, the 6-foot-9, 205-pound power forward from Lone Peak (UT), chose BYU over Illinois, Hawaii and others.

“I chose BYU because of the coaching staff and the style of play fits my game,” Burgess told On3. “Coach Young and his staff have been extremely consistent from the very beginning of this process. And he’s worked hard to develop a relationship with me.”

The forward becomes BYU’s first commit in the 2025 class, which also means Kevin Young has picked up his first high school commitment since becoming the Cougar’s head coach.

Burgess is the nephew of BYU assistant coach and former McDonald’s All-American Chris Burgess.
