Four-star guard Devin Cleveland has committed to Missouri, he announced on Friday.
A 6-foot-3 guard from Chicago, Cleveland chose the Tigers over TCU and Michigan. Cleveland originally had a final list of seven schools, but ultimately narrowed it to a final three before committing to Missouri.
“I’ll be playing college basketball at the University of Missouri,” he announced on CBS/247.
“I just felt like it’s somewhere I can go and get bigger for sure, that’s been my focal point, but also me just becoming a better man.”
He added: “They’re getting a hard worker, a person that’s going to give their all to the team and the community surrounding me. I’m just here to win championships and that’s what I’m coming to do.”
One of the most naturally skilled guards in the class of 2027, Cleveland shot 47% from three for La Lumiere (JN) on the Nike EYBL Scholastic circuit last winter, while also averaging 16.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game on 42.9% true shooting while battling a little bit of a shooting slump from beyond the arc.
At the national level, Cleveland has also participated in six different USA Basketball camps over the last three years, most recently attending the 2026 Men’s Junior National Team April minicamp in Indianapolis.
Cleveland is Missouri’s third commit in the class of 2027 and its second top-30 recruit of the recruiting class. Cleveland is set to join a class that already consists of four-star guard Scottie Adkinson and four-star forward Cameron Barnes.
According to 247Sports’ latest rankings for the class of 2027, Cleveland is rated as a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 30 overall prospect in the nation.
