Louisville has added North Carolina transfer guard Seth Trimble, sources confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.

    ESPN first reported the news.

The 6-foot-3 Trimble played four years at North Carolina, averaging 14.0 points last season.

Trimble missed nine games last season while recovering from a broken left forearm sustained in November 2025.

Trimble is a member of the high school Class of 2022 and is seeking eligibility as part of a group of court cases currently being held. A number of those players have already been granted a fifth year.

Attorney Darren Heitner, who is spearheading the legal challenges, Tweeted:

“It appears that Seth Trimble entered the transfer portal when the window was open and that he is relying on the current injunction order in Wisne v. NCAA (Colorado federal court) as the basis for his eligibility.

“Note: The NCAA has appealed the Wisne injunction order to the 10th Circuit. The 10th Circuit has issued a quick briefing schedule, with the final optional submission due (by the NCAA) on August 17. The result could have a major impact on Trimble and many others who rely on the current injunction order.”
