COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — It’s been an eventful week for Adan Diggs.

Last Tuesday, the five-star guard reclassified to the Class of 2027 from 2028. Now Diggs is at USA Basketball Mini-camp where he was named a finalist to the U18 National Team.

“I love it man. There’s a lot of great talent around me,” said Diggs of being at U18 National Team Camp. “Coming around these guys makes you play a different position, be selfless, and play guys better than you.”

Between now and next summer, Diggs says his main goal is adding strength.

“Getting stronger, that’s the main goal,” he said. “I feel like that’s the main difference between high school to college is physicality.”

The 6-foot-5 combo guard was the top ranked recruit per On3 in the Class of 2028 before reclassifying and has numerous Blue Blood programs after him.

“Recently I got Kentucky and UNC,” he said. “And I’m in conversations with Duke as well so that and I have other schools like Arizona, BYU, and UCLA.”

Diggs appreciated North Carolina head coach Michael Malone and assistant Sean May scouting him (and fellow five-star DeMarcus Henry) Friday night at USA Camp and feels they’re making him a priority.

“Yea, I definitely do,” he said. “I appreciate them for coming out.”

Besides being in state for Diggs, the Arizona Wildcats may have an ace up their sleeve in the form of Cameron Holmes, a five-star Arizona commit in the Class of 2026 who was Diggs’ teammate at Millenium (AZ) High..

“All the time,” Diggs said of Holmes trying to recruit him to Arizona. “It’s always fun. I talk to a lot of the staff over at Arizona as well. They crack jokes with me and stuff. This recruitment process is fun.”

Diggs said the two are like brothers.

“That’s my dog,” he said. “He’s like a big brother to me. I look up to him. He [Cameon] always pushes me to be better.”

Holmes said on a PHNX Sports podcast, “I need [Adan Diggs] in a Wildcats uniform.”

Diggs was appreciative to hear this.

“It means a lot,” he said. “It means that he trusts me. He wants me to come be besides him again.”

So far Diggs has taken unofficial visits to UCLA and USC. And Diggs has an idea of where he’ll take some official visits eventually.

“Kentucky, UNC, I definitely want to visit Texas; those are the main ones right now,” he said. “Obviously, Arizona as well and BYU.”
