Following a breakout junior season in which he averaged 17.6 points and knocked down 49 of 112 shots from beyond the arc (44 percent) at Plainfield HS (IN), Class of 2027 combo guard Harper Baker-Lands has thrived on the EYBL landscape.
The 6-foot-5 Indy Heat prospect shot a smoking 9-for-9 from 3 point range, scoring 27 points to help spearhead the Indy Heat to a victory over City Rocks during the EYBL Session II this weekend.
“The basket did look pretty big,” said Baker-Lands, who holds current offers from Tulane, Kent State, Eastern Illinois, Morehead State, Miami-Ohio, Ball State and several others.
“We just really needed a win. I was willing to do whatever task was necessary. It is one thing to be a shooter, but it is really good to be a maker. That is one aspect I’ve always emphasized.”
This past season at Plainfield, Baker-Lands was a critical component of a veritable triumvirate alongside 6-foot-9 DePaul-signee Noah Smith and point guard Landon Gilliat, who broke the program’s all time assists record as a senior.
Baker-Lands shot 57 percent from the field and 83 percent from the free throw line at Plainfield, which piled up a 22-3 overall record in 2025-26.
While his shooting prowess was evident in Memphis, Baker-Lands takes a sense of pride in being versatile and sustaining a nose for the ball.
He added five rebounds and four assists in his aforementioned 27-point showing.
