After a strong season at Saint Louis, head coach Josh Schertz has garnered a lot of attention for potential head coaching opportunities at other programs. But Schertz has made it clear that he doesn’t plan on going anywhere.

“I have turned down significantly more money to remain at SLU,” Schertz said in a statement on Sunday. “Since I arrived in April of 2024, we have worked tirelessly to deliver a program that makes everyone associated with it proud. Be it our fans, alumni, administration or supporters, our overarching North Star is to give you a program that represents the very best traits of this amazing city and University and we will continue to pour ourselves into doing just thatNow we move forward with a focus on the future, and maximizing the incredible opportunity We have to accomplish something special together.”

Saint Louis reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament before losing to No. 1 Michigan. Maintaining the loyalty of Schertz is sure to be a big foundational move for their programs future moving forward.
