There is still bad blood between Maryland and its former head coach.
Head coach Kevin Willard felt animosity from a group of Maryland fans who attended the Georgetown vs. Villanova on Saturday.
“They wasted a Saturday,” Willard said after his team defeated Georgetown 80-73. “I don’t know what the F**** they were doing… They’ve got nothing better to do on a Saturday then look at my bald ass.”

Willard was surrounded by controversy during the end of his tenure at Maryland. News of his potential departure from the program spread rapidly while he was still coaching with the team during March Madness which caused him to lose favor amongst the fans at Maryland. Clearly there is no love lost even now as he’s moved on to a different program.
Willard is off to a great start in his return to the BIG EAST at Villanova. The Wildcats are 18-5 on the season and third in the BIG EAST.
