Class of 2026 four-star point guard Darius Bivins is down to four schools, as first reported by 247 Sports.
Bivins, the 6-foot point guard out of Bishop O’Connell (VA) and the Washington Warriors Adidas AAU program, is considering Rutgers, Seton Hall, Texas Tech and VCU.
He broke down his top options for ZAGSBLOG:
“Rutgers: They have been recruiting me since Day 1, and have believed in me through up and downs. I have a great relationship with [assistant] coach TJ [Thompson] and that’s big for me. Also had an amazing time on my visit.”
“Texas Tech. I have a great relationship with Coach Buff [GM Kellen Buffington], had a great time on my visit and love how they let their guards play their game and they coach them hard, and push them to their full potential.
“VCU: “I have a good relationship with [assistant] coach Chris Cole. He knows a lot of the guys in my circle really well, and I love what they got going on down there.”
“Seton Hall. I have built a great relationship with Coach Rah[sheen Davis] and Sha[heen Holloway]. I’ve been able to have some great convos with them, and I love the freedom they give their guards and how hard they play and how they have the underdog mindset.
The point guard is ranked the No. 77 overall prospect in the 2026 class by 247Sports. When speaking with scouts this summer, Bivins consistently came up as a player they were impressed with.
As far as a timetable, he said, “I would say definitely [I’m] trying to make a decision soon, but not trying to rush. Just taking it day by day.”
