The Tom Konchalski Foundation announced that two of New York City’s most storied basketball institutions — Fordham University and Archbishop Molloy High School — will each host special events honoring the late Tom Konchalski, one of the game’s most respected scouts, mentors, and ambassadors, the weekend of December 6–7, 2025.

On Saturday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m., Fordham University will host the Tom Konchalski Classic at the historic Rose Hill Gymnasium in the Bronx, featuring the Fordham Rams vs. Holy Cross.
Free tickets are available from the Tom Konchalski Foundation on a first-come, first-served basis. To request tickets, text 518-578-6509.

Meanwhile, in Briarwood, Queens, Archbishop Molloy High School — Tom’s alma mater — will host the Tom Konchalski Invitational on December 6–7, bringing together some of the region’s top CHSAA and PSAL high school teams in a weekend of spirited competition and celebration of Tom’s values and legacy.

All proceeds will benefit the Tom Konchalski Foundation. For additional information contact AD Michael McCleary at [email protected]

“This is a rare and fitting coincidence,” said Steve Konchalski, President of the Tom Konchalski Foundation. “Both Fordham University and Molloy High School were central to Tom’s life and his devotion to the game. To have these events taking place on the same weekend provides us with a special opportunity to highlight Tom’s lasting influence on basketball, education, and the countless young people he inspired.”

The Foundation, founded in 2021, continues Tom’s mission of service by supporting youth basketball programs, life-skills education, and scholarships for students who exemplify the integrity, humility, and kindness that defined Tom’s life.
