Five-star guard Deron Rippey Jr. visits Texas: ‘They want him to come in…and be a leader’

Five-star Blair Academy (NJ) and New Heights guard Deron Rippey Jr., took an official visit to Texas this weekend.

“They want him to come in and start and be a leader!” Deron Rippey Sr. told ZAGSBLOG of the message from head coach Sean Miller and his staff.

The Texas staff also visited Rippey at Blair last week.

He has now visited Texas, Miami, North Carolina and Louisville and heads to Syracuse this coming weekend.

Rippey’s official visit series is now as follows:

Syracuse (Sept. 25-27)
Kentucky (Oct. 6-8)
Duke (Oct. 21-23)
Tennessee (Oct. 23-25)
NC State (Nov. 7-9)
