Memphis officially announces the addition of a South Sudanese big man.

South Sudanese center Simon Majok will play for the Tigers next season, the team announced in a statement on Monday.

The 7-foot-1 big man spent the past three seasons in Serbia playing for KK Real Beograd. In a limited number of games Majok averaged 17.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

Memphis head coach Penny Hardaway will have his hands on another talented big man in his program, something he has experience with in the past.

This will mark the thirteenth member of Memphis’ 2025 recruiting class along with Daniel Vieira-Tuck (Overtime Elite), Quante Berry (Temple), Dug McDaniel (Kansas State), Aaron Bradshaw (Ohio State), Julius Thedford (Western Kentucky), Ashton Hardaway (Saint Mary’s), Zachary Davis (South Carolina), Sincere Parker (McNeese State), Hasan Abdul Hakim (UTRGV), Mason Matthews (Lane College), Curtis Givens III (LSU) and William Whorton (South Dakota State).
