  • Five-star King Gibson announces transfer to SPIRE Academy

    Five-star King Gibson is transferring to the famous SPIRE Academy (OH), he announced on X. Gibson is a 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard from Burlington, North Carolina and previously attended The Burlington School (NC) and Montverde Academy (FL).

    As a member of the class of 2027, Gibson has received many different offers from some of the nation’s most prestigious programs, including Duke and North Carolina.

    Gibson previously mentioned Duke as his dream school, and played for head coach Kevin Boyle at Montverde, who previously coached Duke stars Cooper Flagg and RJ Barrett.

    Gibson can join a list of successful SPIRE alumni, including LaMelo Ball, Isaiah Jackson and Jalen Pickett. He is ranked as a five-star and the No. 14 overall recruit in the class of 2027.
