Arkansas has secured a top 50 prospect in the 2025 recruiting class.

Angolan big man Paulo Semedo will play for the Razorbacks next season, a source confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.

The 7-foot-2 big man arrived to the United States in September of 2023. Since then, he has been turning heads as a prospect at West Oaks Academy with tremendous upside at the next level of play.

“He brings versatility on defense,” West Oaks Academy head coach Kenny Gillion told ZAGSBLOG. “Blocking shots and guarding the pick-and-roll, and on offense scoring around the basket and a threat to take guys off the dribble from the perimeter.”

Before arriving to the United States, Semedo played basketball professionally for Zentro C.B. in Spain, albeit with limited playing time. Here amongst his peers, he stands out in a way only a person standing at 7-foot-2 can.

He will be joining a stacked recruiting class for coach John Calipari in the SEC, consisting of five-star prospects Darius Acuff Jr. and Maleek Thomas alongside four-star prospect Isaiah Sealy.
