Class of 2026 four-star point guard Jonathan Sanderson has committed to Notre Dame, per his X page.

Sanderson — the 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard out of La Lumiere (IN) and the Hoop City BC Puma AA program — chose Notre Dame over offers from schools like Creighton, Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue and others.

“I chose Notre Dame because it felt like the perfect fit for my style of play,” Sanderson told On3. “I really like how they utilize their guards and the way coach [Micah] Shrewsberry sees and teaches the game. I also love the culture and environment surrounding the program.”

This is a good start for Notre Dame’s 2026 recruiting class after bringing in a top-5 class last cycle. Sanderson is the son of Notre Dame’s recently hired strength and conditioning coach Jon Sanderson.
