Elijah Williams, the No. 35 overall prospect in the 2026 class, has committed to Baylor, he told ZAGSBLOG.
Williams, the 6-foot-6, 200-pound small forward from TMI Episcopal (TX) and the JL3 Elite AAU program, took an official visit to Baylor earlier this month. A few weeks later, he’s officially a Bear.
“I chose Baylor because of coach Scott Drew and the winning program he has created,” Williams told ZAGSBLOG. “He is a great coach and a great man that will push me to be better on and off the court.”
What will Williams bring to Waco?
“A three-level scorer and someone who’s going to contribute to winning,” Williams said.
In 11 games on the EYBL circuit with JL3 Elite this summer, Williams is averaging 19.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He’s shot 45.3% from the field and 21-of-51 (41.2%) from 3-point range. Williams is the first commit for Baylor in the 2026 class.
Williams has NBA genes. His father, Monty Williams, played nine seasons in the NBA and coached for 17 years, including with the Phoenix Suns in 2020-21 when they made the NBA Finals. He’s now Elijah’s head coach at TMI Episcopal.
