Class of 2026 four-star power forward Sebastian Wilkins will reclassify and head to Duke for the 2025-26 season, he announced Friday.

Ranked the No. 7 power forward in the Class of 2026 by 247Sports.com, he chose the Blue Devils over Maryland.

“I would like to announce that I will be playing my college basketball at Duke University. Go Blue Devils,” he said on 247Sports.

“I’ll be coming next year and playing in the the 2025 2026 season,” he added.

He told ZAGSBLOG that Duke coach Jon Scheyer gave him this message on his recent official visit: “Just that I can come in and contribute. Being versatile, I can push the ball in transition, stuff like that.”

While Wilkins is going to school early, he’s still focused on winning games this summer with Mass Rivals.

Asked why he chose Duke, Wilkins said on 247: “Just kind of basically how straightforward they were with me, and just their vision for me, like how they can see me making a huge impact and stuff like that. And just their belief in me, and they’re just being honest with me through everything.”

What kind of player is Scheyer getting?

“He’s getting someone who’s going to work for whatever he gets,” he said. “I don’t get anything given to me. I always work for everything. I’m just a hard worker.”

The four-star said his goals include winning it all and getting the guys who don’t have interest some offers.

His commitment comes one day after four-star guard Dame Sarr pledged to Duke.

They will join incoming freshmen Cam and Cayden Boozer and Nik Khamenia along with returning players Caleb Foster, Patrick Ngongba and Darren Harris.

“Sebastian is spectacular,” Brewster Academy head coach Jason Smith told ZAGSBLOG. “He doesn’t have the national reputation he probably deserves. I think we’ll start to see an uptick. He reminds me a lot of a kid I had years ago named Melvin Ejim… You don’t have to run anything for him necessarily. He’s still going to give you 15 and 10 every night. Great leader. Leads by example. Vocal leader. Just someone who has a really really bright future.”
