Four-star forward JJ Andrews has committed to Arkansas, he announced on Thursday afternoon. Andrews chose the Tigers over Missouri and LSU. He is a 6-foot-6, 220-pound forward from Little Rock, AR. and currently attends Little Rock Christian (AR).
Andrews will spend the upcoming summer with Brad Beal Elite of the NIKE EYBL and averaged 19.7 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game in the circuit’s first session of the year in Mesa.
Andrews is a physical scoring wing and has one of the longest wingspans in the class of 2026 at seven feet. With his powerful frame, he can play much larger than 6-foot-6, allowing him to guard many different positions and play many different roles on a team. Over the course of the last year, Andrews has improved his shooting ability and his overall offensive skillset. Having always been a skilled defender, Andrews has made significant leaps towards quickly becoming one of the best two-way players in the country.
Andrews’ calling card is widely viewed as his ability to get downhill and attack the rim. He uses his long and athletic, yet strong frame to put pressure on defenses and get to the paint and finish with ease. With still one more season of high school basketball remaining, Andrews could potentially see his stock rise as he continues to progress offensively.
He is Arkansas’s first commit in the class of 2026. Andrews is ranked as the No. 22 recruit in the class of 2026 and the top-ranked player in the state of Arkansas, according to ESPN.
