Parker Jefferson, the No. 164 overall prospect in the 2025 class, has committed to Gonzaga, he told ZAGSBLOG.
The 6-foot-9 big man out of Inglewood (CA) and the Team Griffin Nike EYBL program, was originally committed to Minnesota. Jefferson reopened his recruitment after its coaching change and now lands with the Bulldogs.
“When my recruitment first started all I was hearing was ‘You’re a Gonzaga type of guy,'” Jefferson said. “Now that I finally got to get to campus and meet the staff, I knew right away this is where I belong. I look forward to seeing The Kennel rocking this year and i’m excited to be playing under such an incredible coach in coach [Mark] Few. GO ZAGS!”
Jefferson describes himself as a versatile player who can get it done on the block, but can also step out and hit outside shots.
“I can do so many things,” Jefferson said. “So I feel like I kind of give you the best of both worlds.”
This is the second class of 2025 commitment for Gonzaga. Jefferson will join four-star shooting guard Davis Fogle.
Both of Jefferson’s parents played sports at the University of Arkansas. His father, Mike Jefferson, was a left tackle for the football squad and his mother, Carrie Jefferson, was a center in basketball from 1993-97.
