The 6-foot-11 big man was one of the best shot blockers in the German BBL. Grunloh boasts a versatile game for someone his size. He is an agile big man who can defend the paint, rebound and stretch the floor with a perimeter shot.
Virginia head coach Ryan Odom will add a top international prospect in Grunloh to a recruiting class that already includes four-star prospects Chance Mallory and Silas Barksdale.
The Cavaliers went 8-12 in the ACC this season while failing to secure a bid to the Big Dance. Grunloh could be a major step towards a bounce-back season.
