Leroy Kelly IV, the No. 192 overall prospect in the 2025 class, has committed to Tarleton State, he announced on Thursday.

Kelly — the 6-foot-3, 165-pound guard from Dynamic Prep and the Drive Nation Nike EYBL AAU program — was originally committed to Oral Roberts, but he reopened his recruitment after its coaching change. He’ll now suit up for the Texans next season.

“The coaching staff has been super consistent since I opened my recruitment,” Kelly told ZAGSBLOG. “They really believe in my abilities, and know I’ll have a major impact there as a freshman! Coach Billy Gillispie is also a coach who has won in the past. And he really believes I can come in and help him win!”

The shooting guard is one of the most consistent 3-point shooters in the 2025 class. During Chipotle Nationals with Dynamic Prep, Kelly averaged 6.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He shot 45% from the field and 4-of-12 (33.3%) from 3-point range while turning the ball over just six times in nearly 100 minutes of action.

Kelly was a steady secondary ball handler for Dynamic Prep, played great defense and knocked down shots from the perimeter all season. He was a big reason why they made it to the finals of Chipotle Nationals.

“I’m just a do it all type of guy,” Kelly previously said of his game. “I feel like I can do a lot of different things. I’m a Swiss army knife. I can shoot the ball. I defend at a high level. I rebound. I feel like I can do a little bit of everything.”

Kelly isn’t the only hooper in the family. His father, Leroy Kelly III, played basketball at Alcorn State. He got in a car accident and was unable to finish his career at Alcorn. Kelly also has two older sisters. One played basketball, but not at the college level.
