Sam Houston transfer big man Kalifa Sakho is heading to Houston, his agency WEAVE announced on Friday.

Sakho — the 6-foot-11, 230-pound big man from France — averaged 7.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game for the Bearkats in 2024-25 while starting every game. His rebounding and defensive capabilities make him a perfect fit for Kelvin Sampson and the Cougars.

This is Houston’s first transfer portal commit this cycle. The Cougars are preparing for a Final Four game against Duke on Saturday, but have still made time to land a transfer portal prospect.
