Tai Turnage, a top-300 prospect in the 2025 class from St. Raymond’s High School in The Bronx and the Riverside Hawks, has committed to Quinnipiac, he told ZAGSBLOG.com.
The 5-foot-11, 160-pound guard also held offers from Rhode Island, Seton Hall and Fordham.
“I picked Quinnipiac because of my relationship with coach [Tom] Pecora and the system they run,” Turnage said. “They run a system that I would want to play in. I’m bringing a smart point guard that’s willing to get others involved but also able to score when needed too.” Turnage joins two other prospects — Jayden Reid and Keith McKnight — in Quinnipiac’s 2025 class. “Tai is a great leader,” St. Raymond’s coach Jorge Lopez said. “[He’s] the type of player who can make around him better. He is a true playmaker who has the ability to knock down shots with efficiency.” Added Daniel Colon of the Riverside Hawks: “Tai is a winner who plays the game the right way. A high IQ point guard with a strong work ethic, he excels as both a play-maker and shooter, especially in ball screen situations where his vision and decision making shine. He’s extremely coachable and has high character.” Follow Sam Lance on Twitter Follow Adam Zagoria on Twitter Follow ZAGSBLOGHoops on Instagram And Like ZAGS on FacebookSt. Raymond's PG Tai Turnage has committed to Quinnipiac, per his coach
