Tai Turnage, a top-300 prospect in the 2025 class from St. Raymond’s High School in The Bronx and the Riverside Hawks, has committed to Quinnipiac, he told ZAGSBLOG.com.

The 5-foot-11, 160-pound guard also held offers from Rhode Island, Seton Hall and Fordham.

“I picked Quinnipiac because of my relationship with coach [Tom] Pecora and the system they run,” Turnage said. “They run a system that I would want to play in. I’m bringing a smart point guard that’s willing to get others involved but also able to score when needed too.”

Turnage joins two other prospects — Jayden Reid and Keith McKnight — in Quinnipiac’s 2025 class.

“Tai is a great leader,” St. Raymond’s coach Jorge Lopez said. “[He’s] the type of player who can make around him better. He is a true playmaker who has the ability to knock down shots with efficiency.”

Added Daniel Colon of the Riverside Hawks: “Tai is a winner who plays the game the right way. A high IQ point guard with a strong work ethic, he excels as both a play-maker and shooter, especially in ball screen situations where his vision and decision making shine. He’s extremely coachable and has high character.”
