St. John’s has its highest ranking since 1990-91 in the latest version of the AP Poll. This poll will span the final week of the regular season before the power leagues begin their conference tournaments next week.

    Here’s the full rankings:

    1. Auburn
    2. Duke
    3. Houston
    4. Tennessee
    5. Florida
    6. St. John’s
    7. Alabama
    8. Michigan State
    9. Texas Tech
    10. Iowa State
    11. Clemson
    12. Wisconsin
    13. Maryland
    14. Louisville
    15. Missouri
    16. Memphis
    17. Michigan
    18. Purdue
    19. Kentucky
    20. Marquette
    21. Saint Mary’s
    22. Texas A&M
    23. BYU
    24. Arizona
    25. Mississippi State
    Receiving votes: VCU (85), Vanderbilt (78), Oregon (37), Drake (18), UC San Diego (17), Illinois (16), Mississippi (13), UCLA (8), Gonzaga (8), Kansas (5), High Point (4), UConn (4), New Mexico (2), Creighton (2), Akron (1).

The SEC, as it has all year long, sees the most teams in the poll with eight, including four of the top seven. The Big 12 and Big 10 each have five teams ranked, followed by the ACC with three and Big East with two. Memphis and Saint Mary’s are the two non-power league teams to make the poll.

There wasn’t much movement in the poll, as the same 25 teams that were ranked last week are ranked this week. Texas A&M has lost four straight games and is down 10 spots, the biggest faller. Louisville is the biggest riser, up five spots to No. 14. The Cardinals have won 17 of their last 18 games.
