Class of 2025 three-star shooting guard Leroy Kelly IV has committed to Oral Roberts, he told ZAGSBLOG.

Kelly —  the 6-foot-3, 165-pound guard from Dynamic Prep and the Drive Nation Nike EYBL AAU program — chose Oral Roberts over programs like Mercer, Sam Houston, Texas State and UMass.

“The coaching staff really believes in me,” Kelly said of his decision. “They believe I can come and be an impact player my freshman year and have a major role in the team’s success. And it felt like home.”

Kelly took an official visit to Oral Roberts the weekend of Sept. 7. He’s the first commit for Oral Roberts, putting head coach Russell Springmann on the board in 2025.

Kelly, ranked the No. 183 overall player in the 2025 class by On3, is coming off a stellar showing at Peach Jam this summer. He averaged 7.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 18.0 minutes per game. Most importantly, Kelly was a key floor spacer for Drive Nation, who’s offense centers around big man Jaden Toombs. Kelly knocked down 7-of-20 shots from deep and also shot over 90% from the free throw line at Peach. He’s one of the best shooters in 2025.

“He’s a player who it feels like does everything right and is a very hard worker,” Toombs said of Kelly. “He’s a guy you want on your team and want to be around. He’s the type of player to hold teams together by his versatility and character.”

Kelly isn’t the only hooper in the family. His father, Leroy Kelly III, played basketball at Alcorn State. He got in a car accident and was unable to finish his career at Alcorn. Kelly also has two older sisters. One played basketball, but not at the college level.
