UCSB has picked up a pledge from three-star power forward Michael Simcoe. He made the announcement on Instagram.

Simcoe — the 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward from Sandra Day O’Connor (AZ) and the Arizona Select UAA program — has chosen UCSB fresh off his official visit. He was on campus this past weekend.

“I can’t express how grateful I am for this opportunity,” Simcoe said in his announcement post. “Thank you to coach [Joe] Pasternack, coach [Derek] Glasser and all the UCSB staff. And thank you to my close circle of people that have helped me along the way. I could not have done this without you.”

Simcoe is ranked the No. 134 prospect in the 2025 class. He becomes UCSB’s first commit in the 2025 class. UCSB is involved with some other class of 2025 prospects, including three-star small forward Jaden Vance and Dallas Washington.
