Elzie Harrington, a top-50 player in the class of 2025, has committed to Tommy Amaker and Harvard, sources confirmed to ZAGSBLOG Thursday.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of St. John Bosco (CA.) is Harvard’s highest ranked recruit of all time, according to 247Sports rankings.

Harrington chose the Crimson over offers from USC, UCLA, and Arizona State.

“Harvard is a school that had the best of both worlds for me in terms of basketball and academics,” Harrington told ZAGSBLOG. “Having Coach Amaker in my corner seems like the best thing for me as I know he trust and believes in me as a person and a player. Someday when the ball stops bouncing, Harvard will allow me to do great things off the court as well. I plan to bring my work ethic and a winning culture to harvard as I want to change Harvard and Ivy League basketball.”

He is the first commit in Harvard’s class of 2025 as the Crimson build off a strong 2024 class where they brought in four three-star incoming freshman.
