Bryant transfer Daniel Rivera committed to UMass during his visit on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-6 forward from Puerto Rico averaged 13.3 points and 8.1 rebounds last season while shooting 50% from the field.

“He had a connection with Coach Frank [Martin] and the coaching staff,” said Rivera’s mentor Christopher Salgado.

“He wants to get back in the A10 with someone he can battle for.”

The Minutemen lost several players to the portal including guard Keon Thompson (Stephen F. Austin), forward/center Josh Cohen (Arkansas) and forward Robert Davis Jr. (Old Dominion).
