LIU freshman standout and Brooklyn native Eric Acker has committed to La Salle, he announced Monday

The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 12.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists last season.

“I considered La Salle because of the opportunity Fran Dunphy gave me as a player,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “[I] strongly believe I can push myself to be a way better player, but the relationships and environment I was surrounded by and opportunities… it’s the best situation.”

Acker is an explosive guard who can score in volumes and gets to the rim with ease. He posted over 20 points on four separate occasions last season.

He is La Salle’s second portal pickup this offseason, joining former Penn State big man Demetrius Lilley. The Explorers also bring in three-star point guard Deuce Jones in the class of 2024.
