Kyle Filipowski seems to be just fine a week after his court-storm injury.
The 7-foot Duke sophomore threw down a windmill dunk and went for 21 points and 7 rebounds in No. 10 Duke’s 73-58 rout of Virginia on Saturday.
“I think these last two games we had were statement wins,” he told Andy Katz. “… It’s March and we’re here.”

A week ago, Filipowski was caught in the middle of the court storm at Wake Forest and came away with a sprained ankle. Duke coach Jon Scheyer asked, “When are we going to ban court storming?” and the incident spurred a national debate on the topic. But on Wednesday, ZAGSBLOG broke the news that Filipowski would play later that night against Louisville. He went for 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in 29 minutes in an 84-59 rout of the Cardinals. The Blue Devils visit N.C. State on Monday.
