Texas A&M commit Andre Mills has been making national headlines this season with his scoring ability. This was on full display during last weekend’s Hoop Hall Prep Showcase where the top-100 senior scored a whopping 95 points across two games and broke Brimmer May’s (MA) single game scoring record (52 points).

“I was in constant attack mode,” Mills said of his mindset. “I looked at the double, if they didn’t double me I was gonna try to score it.”

Mills, who is a part of the 2,000-point club for his career, surpassed the 1,000-point mark with the Gators.

“It felt good because I’ve only been at Brimmer for two years, so that is a big feat for a short amount of time with a month left still,” he said of reaching the milestone.

The 6-4 guard, who is putting on a show with 33 points and 9 rebounds per game on the season, has been in contact with his future head coach Buzz Williams and his coaching staff.

“I talk to the staff all the time,” Mills said. “Buzz is a good man that always wishes the best for me. He checks up on me when he can because he is very busy and I appreciate that a lot.”

Mills is confident that he will be able to fit in seamlessly when he steps on to campus next season.

“Come in work,” he said of what the coaching staff expects from him. “I fit in because it’s my play style. I do the same things for AAU and high school so it’ll be easy to fit in.”
