Kansas guard Arterio Morris has been suspended from the program following a late-August rape allegation, a school spokesman confirmed.

The spokesman said Kansas had no comment on the matter.

The Kansas City Star first reported the news.

Morris, a five-star in the class of 2022 and former Texas guard, averaged 4.6 points per game in 38 appearances for the Longhorns last season before transferring to Kansas in April.

The Dallas native has not been arrested and the investigation will continue.

Three Jayhawks are listed as witnesses to the alleged crime: Elmarko Jackson, Nick Timberlake and Johnny Furphy.

“According to logs from the KU police department, a rape was reported at the 1700 block of Naismith Drive in late-August,” the Kansas City Star reported. “The case is still open, and Morris hasn’t been arrested, nor has a warrant been issued for his arrest.”
