Four-star combo guard Jared Harris has committed to Penny Hardaway and Memphis, per his X page.

Harris — the 6-foot-2, 160-pound guard from Silsbee High School (TX) — chose Memphis over the likes of Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, LSU, Illinois and others.

β€œIt feels like home and they play my basketball,” Harris told On3.

Harris is ranked the No. 76 overall player in the class of 2024 by 247Sports and the No. 3 overall player in Texas. He becomes Hardaway’s first commit in the class of 2024.

The combo guard compares his play style to his new head coach. Harris said he and Hardaway “came out of high school the same.”

Harris’ commitment comes fresh off his official visit to Memphis this past weekend.
