Preston Fowler, a 6-foot-7 wing in the class of 2024 out of the New Heights Lightning AAU program, has recently picked up numerous high-mid major offers after an impressive Peach Jam.

The East Catholic (CT.) product received hist first Power 5 offer from Wake Forest after Peach Jam where he averaged 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds.

“I started talking to Wake Forest the second session of Philly Live [June 23],” Fowler said in an exclusive phone interview. “I talked to Coach [Jason] Shay and another assistant and they both are talking to me everyday.”

Rhode Island, Temple, and George Washington are among those who have offered this July as well, with Fowler mentioning Temple and Wake Forest have reached out the most.

“They [Temple] are really nice and they seem they really want me to go there,” he said. “The school is good itself, they have a good education and are in the American Conference.”

Additionally, Fowler has offers from George Mason, Fordham, Fairfield and Quinnipiac, among others.

“I’m looking for a school that’ll push me academically and basketball wise,” Fowler said. “A school that’ll make me earn my spot on a team.”

He has heard from Villanova, Georgetown, Marquette, Illinois, Penn State, Providence, SMU, Stanford, William & Mary, Princeton, Towson, and several others as well.

Fowler mentioned Wake Forest and Providence are most interested in getting him to visit, though nothing is planned yet.

In terms of playstyle Fowler credits his efficieny and work ethic as key factors that he can bring to a college program.

“I think I can bring my intensity,” he said. “I play as hard as I can every time I step on the court. I’m pretty efficient and can bring shot making to a program.”
