St. John’s transfer David Jones has a found a new home with Penny Hardaway and Memphis, he announced.
The news was first reported by Jon Rothstein.
The 6-foot-6 native of the Dominican Republic averaged 13.2 points and 6.8 rebounds in his one season at St. John’s after transferring from DePaul where he spent two seasons. He was one of many transfers out of Queens after Rick Pitino became the head coach.
Jones also reportedly visited Xavier and had interest from other schools.
