Class of 2024 four-star Daniel Freitag has committed to Wisconsin, he announced on Friday.

The 6-foot-2 point guard chose the Badgers over Baylor, Notre Dame, and Minnesota, among several others.

“I felt like Wisconsin has valued me more than any other program,” Freitag told ZAGSBLOG. “They’ve valued me for the longest time out of any other program and I think it was just right that I rewarded them by joining the crew.”

“They didn’t offer any other point guard which really stood out to us,” he continued. “I’m big on loyalty and that’s the most loyal thing they could’ve done.”

Freitag will play for Southern California Academy next season (CA.), a school known for producing several Power 5 talents.

He joins three-star Minnesota native Jack Robinson in Wisconsin’s class of 2024.

Freitag also holds a football offer from new Badger head coach Luke Fickell as a three-star wide receiver, but it is currently unclear if he will play both sports at the next level.
