Carey Booth, a top-100 recruit in the class of 2023, has committed to Notre Dame.

The 6-foot-10 Brewster Academy product originally signed with Penn State, but now follows head coach Micah Shrewsberry to South Bend.

“I chose Notre Dame for many of the same reasons I originally chose Penn State, and the biggest reason being the coaching,” Booth told 247Sports and Irish Illustrated before going public with his commitment. “I feel like coach Shrewsberry is one of the best coaches in college basketball and will help me develop into the player I know I can become. I really enjoyed my visit to Notre Dame. A lot of the staff that recruited me at Penn State was there.”

Booth is the third player to join Notre Dame’s class of 2023, joining three-stars Markus Burton and Braeden Shrewsberry.
