St. Thomas transfer Andrew Rohde has committed to Virginia, he announced Tuesday.

The 6-foot-6 freshman guard from Milwaukee (WI.) averaged 17.1 points on 44.8% shooting for the Tommies last season. He also dished out 3.6 assists and grabbed 3.7 rebounds.

“I chose Virginia because of the amazing coaching staff and culture,” he told On3 Sports. “I felt a really special connection with Coach [Tony] Bennett and the team. I’m really excited to continue to grow and develop around great people.”

Rohde becomes the third player to transfer to Virginia this offseason, joining Merrimack transfer Jordan Minor and Georgetown transfer Dante Harris.

The Cavaliers will also bring in four-stars Elijah Gertrude and Blake Buchanan in their class of 2023.
