Former Oklahoma wing Benny Schröder has transferred to George Washington, he announced Wednesday.

The 6-foot-7 Germany native averaged 2.3 points per game in his freshman campaign with the Sooners.

Schröder played for the German national team and was the second leading scorer during the 2021 FIBA U18 European Championship.

He is the first player to transfer into George Washington’s program this offseason, while the Colonials have lost Amir Harris and Daniel Nixon to the portal.

George Washington will also bring in three-stars Trey Autry, Christian Jones, and Jacoi Hutchinson in their class of 2023.
