ATLANTA – Class of 2024 four-star center Somto Cyril had a strong showing in Overtime Elite’s regular season opener with multiple college coaches in attendance.

The 6-foot-10, 235-pound center from Overtime (GA) Elite, finished with eight points, nine rebounds and four blocks in a 92-88 win over Our Saviour (NY) Lutheran on Friday night.

“I’m happy we got the win,” Cyril said. “That’s the most important part of the game. I didn’t really play great in the first half, but I came out with great energy in the second half, played my role and got the win. I’m feeling good.”

After the game, Indiana head coach Mike Woodson came over to talk to Cyril.

“He’s recruiting me,” Cyril said. He was just saying hello.”

Seton Hall head coach Shaheen Holloway was also in attendance.

“They’ve been in contact,” Cyril said of Seton Hall. “Right now, my recruitment is open. I’m hearing from everybody.”

Ranked by the On3Sports Composite as the No. 4 center and No. 25 overall prospect in the class of 2024, Cyril said he does a good job of “playing his role.”

“I know what I should do and I play it,” he said. “I try to perfect it and help my teammates win.”
