Class of 2022 three-star guard Desmond Claude is ‘most likely’ going to be committing in November by the early signing period, he tells ZAGSBLOG.

“I have to trust the coach and his plan for me,” he said. “(I’m looking for a school to) help develop me and has to be a win-win situation.”

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard from Putnam Science (CT) Academy, took his first official visit to Rutgers from Oct. 9-10 before his most recent official visit to Xavier from Oct. 12-14.

“I enjoyed it a lot,” Claude said of his trip to Xavier. “(What stood out was) their plan and how they run things over there. Their academics, basketball and facilities were nice.”

Claude said the Xavier coaching staff was selling him on being a point guard at the next level.

According to 247Sports.com, Claude is ranked as the No. 2 prospect from the state of Connecticut and the No. 122 overall prospect in the class of 2022.
