Kentucky sophomore guard Ashton Hagans has declared for the NBA Draft, he announced Sunday on Twitter.

The 6-foot-3 sophomore averaged 11.5 points, 6.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds while shooting 40 percent from the field this season.

He is projected at the No. 36 overall pick, per ESPN.com.

Kentucky coach John Calipari Tweeted that Hagans is “ready” for the NBA.

“From where he was when he got here two seasons ago to where he is now isn’t even close,” Calipari Tweeted. “He’s a completely different player and he’s built his skills and his confidence to take that next step.”
