Zeke Nnaji, the 6-foot-11 power forward from Hopkins (MN) and D1 Minnesota, committed to Arizona on Friday.

“I will be playing college basketball and continuing my education at University of Arizona,” he announced at his school.

Ranked the No. 8 power forward in the Class of 2019 by 247Sports.com, Nnaji also considered Kansas, UCLA, Baylor, Purdue and North Carolina.

    Nnaji visited Arizona in mid-October.

“It was really good,” Apham Nnaji, the player’s father, said then. “We watched practice and their Red Blue game today.”

Nico Mannion and Josh Green, both of whom had already committed to Arizona for 2019, also attended. Arizona also has commitments from shooting guard Terry Armstrong and center Christian Koloko.

Arizona now has the No. 1 class in 2019, per 247Sports.com, which is somewhat remarkable considering all that Arizona has gone through in the last year with the FBI investigation and other issues.

“There’s obvious need for Zeke’s skill set on that team and with the boys committed already they think that Zeke is their final component,” Apham said.
