UConn announced that redshirt freshman Sidney Wilson “has been suspended from game competition due to a violation of university policy that occurred during the 2017-18 season.

“There will be no further comment on this matter until there is a change in Wilson’s status,” the statement read.

The 6-foot-7 Wilson transferred from St. John’s in September 2017 after not playing a game there. He played at St. Raymond’s of The Bronx before transferring to Brewster (N.H.) Academy for his senior season.
