NORWALK, CA — Isaac Okoro, the 6-foot-5 small forward from John McEachern (GA) High School, told ZAGSBLOG on Friday at the Pangos All-American Camp that he plans on cutting down his list of schools in July.

“I plan on cutting my list next month or so,” said Okoro. “I still love on the schools that have offered me right now. I’m low on my recruitment and I’m just focusing on the season right now.”

Okoro mentioned Texas, Oregon, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, and Florida as some of the schools that he is hoping to visit, but also said that he’s looking at all the schools that have shown interest.

According to 247Sports, Okoro is ranked as the No. 39 overall player in the Class of 2019 and the No. 2 player from the state of Georgia. He broke down what he’s looking for in a school.

“I want to go to a school that wants me for who I am,” he said. “I want to go somewhere that I can make a big impact and get a good education. I want to go somewhere that my family would like me to go to.”

In the five-on-five drills at the Pangos Camp on Friday, Okoro finished with six points, two rebounds, and two assists. In its first year as an NBA-Certified Event, Okoro spoke about playing in front of NBA Scouts.

“The coaches and players have been really competitive, the energy has been high, and I just can’t wait to play right now,” he said. “It feels good playing in front of NBA Scouts. There were some nerves at the start, but once I got playing I got used to it.”
