Jahvon Quinerly, the 6-foot-1 senior guard from Hudson Catholic (N.J.) High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Villanova University.

Quinerly committed to Villanova in February after decommitting from Arizona in October.

Quinerly was selected as a 2018 McDonald’s All-American. As a senior at Hudson Catholic High School, he averaged 18.5 points and 5.8 assists per game while establishing himself as one of the nation’s elite backcourt prospects. The Hackensack, N.J., native is listed as No. 26 in ESPN’s listing of the nation’s Top 100 seniors.

“We are proud to have Jahvon join the Villanova family,” stated Wildcats head coach Jay Wright. “He is an outstanding student, talented point guard, and accomplished leader. We will count on Jahvon immediately in our lineup. He has all the ingredients of another great Villanova guard.”

With consensus National Player of the Year Jalen Brunson entering the NBA Draft, Quinerly is in the mix next year for the starting point guard spot.

Quinerly and Ohio State-bound Luther Muhammad were also added to the Allen Iverson Roundball Classic Roster which takes place on April 21 in Philadelphia.

Quinerly joins Brandon Slater (Fairfax, Va.) and Cole Swider (Providence, R.I.) as members of Villanova’s incoming class of 2022. Slater and Swider signed their National Letters of Intent during the November signing period.
